"The Murderess" is a story about the 60-year-old midwife and healer, Frangojannou, who commits several murders of young girls on Skiathos 150 years ago. Based on her experiences as a woman in the society of the time, she firmly believes that this will prevent further suffering and burden for the family. "The Murderess" by Alexandros Papadiamantis is today considered one of the most important prose works of modern Greek literature.

For a better understanding of the performance by English speaking audience, subtitles are projected and follow the narration.
